The "Public Procurement Guide: A Toolkit for Good Governance" course offers an extensive exploration into the multidimensional discipline of public procurement. It is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of procurement's foundational theories, legal frameworks, and operational strategies, as well as its role in public financial management and good governance. Attendees will explore different areas of procurement planning, the creation of bidding documents, bid evaluations, awarding procedures and the management issues that can arise during procurement processes. The course also introduces the Methodology for Assessing Procurement Systems (MAPS), a critical tool for evaluating procurement processes. Through this curriculum, participants will gain the knowledge necessary to navigate and improve procurement systems, ensuring they contribute to sustainable and socio-economic development.
